Our mission is to serve the families of this community with the utmost care, courtesy and compassion to create a meaningful service in their time of grief. We are committed to excellence to the families we serve and the life of their loves ones.

History of Freund Funeral Home

Freund Funeral Home was established in 1924, by Josie Freund. J. D. And Merle Bramlette, Jr. became the owners Jan. 1, 1946. “Aunt” Josie continued to help operate the business until her death in 1988. Sept of 1972, Jay Bramlette graduated from mortuary school and came to work for Freund Funeral Home. In Dec of 1976, Freund Funeral Home was incorporated and after the death of J. D. Bramlette, Jr in Dec of 1979 and Merle Bramlette in Oct of 1998, Jay became the sole owner. Today Jay Bramlette continues the long standing traditions of Freund Funeral Home.

The business is located on the corner of Gonzales Street and Courthouse Street in Cuero, Texas since 1924. We have had a long and successful working relationship with the community and the families that we serve.
